In the extream north of Lombardy, Alta Valtellina is situated between the mountain ranges of the Ortes - Cevedale group, the main Central Alps and the Cima Piazzi group, with peaks of nearly 4000 meters high.
There are almost 900 sq km of greenery, forests and hedgerows, there are walking and hiking trails, ski slopes, glaciers and it has an extraordinary variety and quality of environmental resources available for tourists.
